Welcome! We are Kitcher & Rising, an acoustic music duo based in Austin, TX. Soon after we met, we quickly realized how beautifully our voices blend together. With a heavy focus on vocal harmony, we share a sound that is intimate, sweet and nostalgic. Our setlist features a mix of 40's & 50's golden age classics, jazz standards, modern covers, and originals.

We both come from highly musical backgrounds. Rising studied classical piano for 12 years, sang and toured internationally with one of the nation's leading treble choirs for 7 years, and sang in choir in college. She has performed with the LA Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Pasadena Symphony, and other ensembles at venues including the Hollywood Bowl and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Rising now performs as a professional pianist at venues across Austin.

Kitcher grew up singing in choir, led an a cappella group in high school, and began playing private shows at the age of 15. In college he sang competitively, and went on to study music production in Europe and the United States before opening his own studio in Austin. He has recorded multiple EPs, garnered hundreds of thousands of views on his YouTube videos, and is currently working on a full-length album. Together Kitcher & Rising bring the special charm that can only be captured in duo performance.
